Leadership – David & Jan Collins
Dave and Jan moved from East Yorkshire to Shaw in 2015. They have been married for over 40 years, have three children and eight grandchildren.
After moving to Shaw they felt God calling them to establish a gospel based church in Shaw to declare the good news of Jesus to the town.
They purchased the church building, which used to be a card shop, in 2017 and have worked hard, with a founding group, to create a building that is fit for use as a church.
But the primary goal is to build something of eternal significance which will be to the praise and glory of Jesus and that’s a community of believers, saved by the blood of Jesus and who are seeking to serve one another.
Elder – John Warner
John has been a Christian for over 56 years following a dramatic conversion when he was in his twenties. He is passionate about the church being the glorious Body of Christ, not just in heaven but here on earth too and has known God’s clear and direct leading to serve along with us in Shaw.
John is now widowed and has 6 grown up children and many grandchildren and even some great-grandchildren. He was anointed as an Elder with us in 2023.
Deacon – Nahum Evans
Nahum is married to Hannah and they live in Royton with their three children.
He was born and bred in East London and moved up with the family in 2020. Nahum is our worship leader.
Nahum works as a Talent Acquisition Manager for an engineering business in London.
Deacon – Brian McDaid
Brian is married to Elaine and they have two teenage daughters.
Brian has grown up and lived in Shaw his whole life and thus has deep roots and strong ties to the area and community.
He has a vibrant testimony that once he was blind but now he can see. Brian heads up our Love in action ministry.
