We are at the moment a relatively small church but we are fellowship that has its identity based on the body of Christ and has as its vision to build a church community in Shaw that declares the good news of Jesus Christ to the town and that encourages every believer to grow in their love and service of Jesus as they open their whole lives to the work of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
We meet every Sunday at 10:30 for our worship service which has at its centre the preaching of God’s word. This preaching is led by our three elders and will always be based on the Word of God, the Bible and will generally be between 30-45minutes long. There is also a time of worship which is lead by our worship team and this is an opportunity for everyone to share in worship, open prayer, sharing of scripture and words of encouragement and prophecy. We also will include a time of testimony where we can share what God has been doing in our individual lives and once a fortnight will break bread together (communion). We will also during these services provide a time of prayer ministry where we seek to minister to those who need specific and particular prayer.
During the sermon we have a Sunday school every week for children in primary school. There is an unsupervised creche available for younger children. Once a fortnight there is also a Youth Group discussion group for those who are over 11yrs old.
We believe that it is Jesus who is building His church and not us and so we constantly want to be directed by the Spirit of Jesus in everything we do. We pray that you will want to join with us in this. So why not come along on a Sunday and see what God is doing.
